No sir, you can install our cover over the factory one!
Do you have to remove the existing armrest cover to install the new one? 2013-16 Mazda CX-5 armrest cover - version 2
The installation instructions show how to remove the armrest top and how to glue the new cover one, but not if you remove the existing cover before gluing on the new one.
